In the near future, I need to build a laddered bond portfolio using around 1.2 million. I will also put 100k or so in stocks for speculation. Ultimately, interest/dividend income from this will supplement my current income.I am trying to determine the best way to do this, and what brokerage or wealth management firm would be best to use. I don't have a lot of time to be buying and selling bonds, and I am not an expert in this. There are a lot of wealth management option out there (Vanguard Asset Management Services, Raymond James, etc.), but fees vary quite a bit, and so do services.Has anyone here taken a "do it yourself approach" to the above, or received minimal guidance (and minimal fees), and had success?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
